Athens 2006, International Landscape Architecture Symposium

Introduction:

We conceived, organised and presented the Athens International Landscape Architecture Symposium: Establishing the Profession in Greece and the Wider Mediterranean World in Athens 2006.

This event was attended by delegates from more than 20 countries who listened to speakers bringing their experiences from Greece, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, Serbia, and Italy.

The event was also suported by IFLA and EFLA who both sent their Presidents to speak, and we also had speakers from countries such as Germany, Denmark and the UK where Landscape Architecture is already more evolved to talk about how this was achieved.

The series continued in Istanbul in 2008, which we attended, and Beirut in 2010.
