Lembessi street, Acropolis

Acropolis, Athens
2009
Client:
City of Athens
Type of project:
Streetscape

Amenments to the plan for the streets around the new Acropolis Museum at Makroyianni. Pavements widened and street trees introduced to Lembessi Street.

The Bay laurel, Laurus nobilis, which is the sacred tree of Apollo, was chosen for its elegant, evergreen foliage and drought-tolerance.
