Design for creative and adventurous spaces for children to play in.
The PTA had raised money to improve the school playgrounds and had identified that the traditional activities (such as football) were well catered for, but that there was a need for spaces to allow the children to engage in a wider range of activities, with an especial emphasis on new spaces for creative and social play, and for spaces which could be used as outdoor classrooms and for storytelling.
Working with the inspirational PTA subcommittee, the children's feedback and local artists, we developed their ideas into an overall design which could be implemented in phases as they raised the funds.
